Stoke of Nature is the foundation of my creative practice. As an anthropologist, artist, and storyteller, I approach creativity through "creative experientialism," the intentional design of objects, spaces, films, writing, and artistic experiences that invite people to rediscover their relationship with the natural world. Rather than simply representing nature, my work seeks to create encounters with it, encouraging movement, reflection, curiosity, and emotional connection. It is an approach grounded in the belief that art is not only something we observe, but something we experience, inhabit, and carry with us.

This philosophy grows from a biocultural understanding of what it means to be human. Our evolutionary journey shaped more than our bodies; it shaped our minds, emotions, and ways of perceiving the world. The human relationship with nature is not merely aesthetic or recreational, it is an ancient biological and cultural inheritance that continues to influence our health, resilience, creativity, and sense of belonging. I believe we are biologically wired to respond to the natural world not simply with admiration, but through movement, memory, emotion, imagination, and meaning.

My work seeks to give form to that terrain: the awe of open landscapes, the rhythm of physical immersion, the quiet resonance of light and texture, and the growing urgency of ecological change. Through painting, reclaimed materials, mixed-media design, wellness garden design, filmmaking, and writing, I explore our ongoing conversations with nature and the enduring bond evolution placed within us. Whether creating a sculpture from reclaimed wood, designing a wellness garden, producing a film, or writing about the human experience, my goal is the same, to translate that relationship into something tangible, useful, experiential, and deeply felt.

Ultimately, I hope my work encourages others to see nature not simply as a place we visit, but as an essential part of who we are, a relationship that continues to shape how we create, heal, connect, and flourish.
